UXQB® Fundamentals of Usability & User Experience (CPUX-F)

- The core principles: user involvement, an iterative approach, and a focus on the overall user experience.
- Human-centered activities and their interrelationships
- Key terms and definitions: Usability and its three criteria (effectiveness, efficiency, satisfaction)
- User Experience
- Accessibility
- User interface
- Interactive system
- Overview of the ISO 9241 family of standards
- Defining roles and responsibilities in the development process
- Selection of suitable methods
- Positioning HCD within Agile Development and Lean UX
- Systematic identification of users, goals, tasks, and environment
- Methods of usage context analysis: e.g., interviews, contextual interviews, focus groups, observation
- Descriptions of the context of use, such as user group profiles, personas, and as-is scenarios.
- Deriving requirements (user needs) from the context of use
- Translation into precise, verifiable user requirements (as a subset of all stakeholder requirements)
- Design process and results
- Rules for the design of user interfaces
- Usability evaluation
- Usability testing
- Usability inspections and user surveys
Certification
The training is based on the current UXQB® curriculum and prepares you for the Certified Professional for Usability and User Experience – Foundation Level (CPUX-F) exam, which can be taken online via a testing center.
