As an Enterprise Architect, you play a crucial role in shaping technology and architecture decisions within your organization ensuring alignment between business processes and emerging technologies.
Our training program provides insights into IT architecture planning and modeling while equipping you with expertise in the ArchiMate® modeling language.
How the training program is structured
Enterprise architecture is work on the map, not on a single system: processes, applications and technology belong together so that technology decisions do not miss the business. Both trainings are bookable as live webinars and as classroom trainings in Vienna and Frankfurt am Main.
1. Plan the architecture
The training on enterprise architecture covers the planning and control of the IT landscape in alignment with the business processes – which views exist, how current and target pictures come about, and what technology decisions can be measured against. It concludes with the certificate of attendance from Spirit in Projects.
2. Model the architecture
ArchiMate® is The Open Group's modeling language for exactly this map. The training covers notation and views and enables the ArchiMate® 3 certification with The Open Group.
3. Connecting upwards and downwards
An enterprise architecture only holds if it connects at both ends: to the business processes the business analyst describes with BPMN 2, and to the system architecture the system and software architect models with UML®. Both programs are linked below.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a TOGAF® certification preparation?
No. On this path ArchiMate® 3 can be certified with The Open Group; the training on enterprise architecture concludes with the certificate of attendance from Spirit in Projects. Each training states what is available.
Do I need prior knowledge?
Experience in IT projects or in system architecture helps, a certification is not required. Both trainings sit at Advanced Level because they address decision-making experience – not because a certificate is missing.
ArchiMate® or UML® – which do I need?
ArchiMate® describes the enterprise architecture: business, applications and technology in context. UML® describes systems and their software. Anyone responsible for both will find UML® in the system and software architect's program.
Where do I start?
With enterprise architecture if the question is: how do I steer a landscape? With ArchiMate® if the steering is in place and the documentation cannot be communicated.
